Optimale dosering en timing van corticosteroïden bij gehospitaliseerde patiënten met COVID-19

Project summary

Patients with COVID-19 hospitalized often have an excessive inflammatory response. The use of the anti-inflammatory corticosteroid dexamethasone is therefore the cornerstone of the treatment of these patients. Unfortunately, there remains a group of patients who respond insufficiently to this treatment

The aim of this study is to investigate whether patients with an insufficient response to standard anti-inflammatory drugs benefit from a higher dose, and when is the right time to administer this increased dose.
