Deciphering the role of IDO1 in the human vasculature

Project summary

The smallest blood vessels in our body ensure a sufficient nutrient supply to our organs. This study investigates how a deficiency in the enzyme IDO1 contributes to impaired function of our blood vessels in heart disease, with the ultimate aim to develop new therapies for this disease.
