Addressing poor adherence to active surveillance in patients with low-risk prostate cancer: unravelling underlying determinants and developing action plans.
Project summary
This project aims to increase therapy adherence among low-risk prostate cancer patients for active surveillance (AS) in order to delay or prevent active treatment. We do this by (1) unravelling determinants that influence therapy (dis)fidelity for AS, (2) determining the importance of specific elements of AS from a patient perspective and (3) developing action plans that will promote therapy fidelity for AS among low-risk prostate cancer patients.
