Early detection of tumour progression with APT CEST MRI

Project summary

In this study, we will answer the question: How should APTw-CEST MRI be done to best distinguish tumour progression from treatment effect?

The final results of this project are:

• APTw-CEST as a validated biomarker of tumour progression after treatment of brain tumours with radiotherapy,
• a standard for acquisition and analysis for APTw-CEST as a biomarker for use in Dutch clinical practice, and guidelines on how to integrate this new biomarker into the treatment of patients monitored after treatment with radiotherapy for early detection of tumour progression.
