Repurposing FDA-approved drugs for treating hepatitis E virus infection
Project summary
Hepatitis E virus has emerged as a true global health issues, with particular threatens to pregnant women and organ transplantation patients. This project aims to identify treatment from existing FDA-approved medications that are safe, cheap and effective to combat this disease in developing and developed counties.
Impact
I will develop new antiviral strategies based on existing medications that are safe, cheap, effective and readily applicable to revolutionize the treatment in real world. This shall represent as a milestone in response to the global call towards the elimination of viral hepatitis by 2030.
