Project summary
Identical twins share the same DNA sequence, hence they are inseparable using
conventional forensic DNA profiling. As a result, there are >400 twins involved in
unsolved criminal cases in the Netherlands. The researcher will develop new methods to
better understand twin-to-twin DNA differences, and implement them into forensic
practice.
